About Maren Management

Maren Pyenson has 15 years of consumer product management experience and has worked at some of the largest global internet brands. As Director of Launch Management at AOL, she managed the product team and led the effort on the localization and launch of the first international AOL service in Germany as well as in France, UK, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Hong Kong and Japan. At Yahoo, she was responsible for developing the "Front Page" international strategy and launching localized products in Europe and Asia. Maren was also Director of Product Management at SideStep.com, where she led the product strategy, development and launch of new consumer products in the US and the UK. Most recently, Maren was Sr. Director of Product Management at Cake Financial where she lead the Product/UI team to a successful launch at TechCrunch. Maren's knowledge of several foreign languages and cultures complements her passion for product management, specifically in the area of globalization.

Maren holds a BA in German Language and Literature (Minor: Japanese/Political Science) from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and has completed graduate studies towards an MS in Information Systems at American University in Washington DC. Maren is a member of the Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA).
